Stella Paddled for Inciting Mischief

The dreaded call came from school that Stella had created a disturbance on the school bus. She would be punished, hardly at home to bed, sore and sobbing with no supper. Her strict stepdad always kept a paddle close at hand, and she dreaded the days where he waited for her to come through the front door, sending her immediately to her room.
